Begun by Michael J. Choppin in 1960, the Choppin family’s involvement in real estate and construction services in Long Beach and Southern California has been highly influential for over 50 years. Including such projects as the development of the World Trade Center in downtown Long Beach, the legacy continues through the efforts of Scott Choppin. Founding the Urban Pacific Group of Cos. and it’s real estate and demolition subsidiaries – Scott Choppin, and the Choppin family – continue to pursue real estate development, construction, and demolition business interests. Having a deep passion for the demolition and wrecking business, Scott Choppin founded S.K. Choppin Demolition in 2009 to diversify the families interests, and he continues to aggressively pursue growth of S.K. Choppin Demolition’s top line revenue and identity in the marketplace as a world-class demolition contractor.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Scott K. Choppin has been in the real estate and construction industries since 1983, where he continues to run real estate development and construction companies focused and active throughout the Western United States.
Originally from Long Beach, California, Scott continues to reside in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach with his wife Becky where they are raising the 4th generation – sons Sean Patrick and Dylan and daughter Jenna – of the Choppin family in Belmont Shore and Long Beach. Scott is a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School where he played water polo and swim team. After graduating Wilson, he attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he received a Business Administration degree with a specialization in Finance. Scott holds A, B, and C-21 license classifications and Asbestos (ASB) and Hazardous Material (HAZ) certifications from the Contractors States License Board in the state of California.
As the business owner and founder of the company, Scott’s roll at S.K. Choppin Demolition is strategy, planning, business development, operations, and corporate investments for the company.
Prior to joining S.K. Choppin Demolition, Mr. Patel completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering in Ahmedabad, India and completed graduate studies receiving a Masters of Construction Management from the University of Texas, Arlington.
Nilay’s role is responsible for estimating demolition projects, as well as, project coordination and management.

CHRISTINA MARIE KIMBALL
Strategic Advisor – Business Strategy and Operations
Christina Marie Kimball’s background includes founding five successful ventures including a business consulting firm, a design firm, art studios and a restaurant. Christina Marie also has extensive experience in leading organizations in institutional settings as well as executive level work in the hospitality and entertainment worlds.
Christina Marie has three grown daughters and lives a bi-coastal life with her husband Alex between Seattle and New York. When her feet are not on the ground, they can be found on the deck of her sailboat with Alex, where she helps navigate the “force of the wind and changing of the tides.” These experiences serve as additional insight into how Christina Marie expertly coaches her clients about business and life.
Christina’s role is as an advisor to the company related to marketing, operations, and human resources.
Senior Superintendant – Hopkins Construction
Prior to joining Hopkins, Mr. Vitale held positions as a construction manager/project superintendent with some of the largest companies in the business, including Shea Homes, Western Pacific, ROEM, Watt, and Warmington Homes. Tony has proven his success in the industry and has an expertise as a hands-on troubleshooter, with solid background in the construction field.
Originally from the Bronx, New York, Mr. Vitale holds a degree from Miami Dade College, and is a Licensed General Contractor in the State of California.
Tony’s role is as an advisor to the company related to operations, field management, and bringing his vast network of construction industry executives to help the S.K. Choppin Demolition team.
